Stadiums can cover huge areas and the network is often a series of unlinked comms cabinets. Having all areas of the venue on the same network is a huge benefit to the IT department.
Access and building control systems, such as heating and lighting can all be controlled centrally.
IP surveillance systems not only in the stadium but in car parks and in adjoining office space can be monitored and controlled centrally, meaning site security can respond quickly to incidents.
Retail and commercial space can be expanded within the stadium if data points for POS systems can be installed anywhere in the stadium.
MLR Networks will design, install, test and maintain a network infrastructure that will work for you; whether that is copper cabling, fibre optic cabling or a passive optical network. And because we have many years experience at working at Bolton Wanderers Football Ground we know how important it is to keep public areas free from disruption. What’s more as a Cisco Premier Partner, we can fully support wireless networks, LAN, unified communications, IP telephony, servers and storage.
We’ve been working with Bolton Wanderers Football club for more than ten years: Highlights include:
Backbone Fibre Optic network: to give Bolton a site-wide LAN we installed a fibre optic backbone across the whole stadium.
IP Surveillance: to improve site security we installed new Cat5e, Cat6 and OM3 Fibre optic cabling.
Temporary Events Network: to support the Sky Darts Premier Event we set up a temporary network to support the production team.
