About the role
In this rewarding, customer-facing Junior NOC Engineer role, you’ll be a main point of contact for customer faults, providing great customer service along with managed service activities across our portfolio of enterprise networking products.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar Junior NOC Engineer role, with the ability to communicate both technically and professionally through telephone calls, ticketing system and email.

Core responsibilities
- You will work as part of a team to remotely support and identify issues affecting customer systems and services, then perform 1st line diagnosis with a view to resolution.
- Proactively monitor customer solutions to ensure all events are captured and actioned.
- To use MLR’s ITSM system to ensure calls are responded to within the Customer’s SLA.
- Be able to work independently and be trusted to provide professional support services to our customers.
- To be able to self-educate and attain and maintain industry standard IT accreditations.
- Involvement in the support and improvement of Internal MLR Systems that support both internal MLR users as well as External Customers
- Keeping assets up to date in ITSM platform tool
Essential skills and experience
- Some experience in a networking role.
- Understanding of Cisco CLI.
- Managed and debugged Cisco Switches & Routers.
- Working towards Cisco CCNA certification.
- Willing to learn and develop technical knowledge.
- Ensuring great customer experience is provided through excellent service.
